The First AidAWARE e-learning course, delivered by the AWARE Series e-learning academy, empowers you with the essential skills to preserve life, prevent conditions from worsening, and promote recovery until professional help arrives.
You will master a systematic approach to emergencies using the DRABC check—Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, and Circulation—to ensure life-threatening issues are addressed first.
The curriculum covers critical life support, including the universal 30:2 CPR rhythm and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to strengthen the "Chain of Survival".
You will also learn to identify and manage medical emergencies such as choking, asthma, heart attacks, and anaphylaxis, alongside trauma care for severe bleeding, clinical shock, and bone or joint injuries.
Finally, the course details how to provide a concise ATMIST handover to paramedics and manage legal documentation and personal mental well-being.
